Thanks for making this video. I need to do this for my mother's baseboard heating system and haven't done it before.

excellent info. Others didnt explain in the detail I was looking for and I needed to turn off the ball valve above the main circulator pump, which I didnt do the last time and still had air in the system.

Can you back-feed water through the boiler drain spigot?

If I need to empty a zone to repair a small pinhole in one of the pipes. Should I shutoff the main water supply and follow the same direction and now I am purging water and air ?

This is a little above my pay grade. Would this be handled by a HVAC guy or a plumber?

Is there any remedy if there is no spigot or relief valve for each zone?

Great info. One question, my zone valves are above spigot. After I open zone valves to bleed I guess I must manually close them. At what point in the process must this be done? Can it be done on the three zone valves as the very last step before I turn boiler back on or one zone at a time? Thanks

Our baseboards are definitely quirky in how each zone seems to get a different level of heat but it's old and there's not controls for the zones.

But besides that, after installing a whole house filter I'm still getting sediment in my hot water. Does doing a flush effect that or is that a problem related to the boiler itself?

I'm going to give the flush a DIY try, fingers crossed!

Good video 👍
But what are the possible reasons for getting air in the system in the first place.
That's My question I'll continue down the rabbit hole and see if I can't find a video on why.
