Bro khukuri is used to chop enemies head not wood

The difference between those two Kukri's is about the same difference between hitting a piece of wood with a sharp ax and a splitting wedge. It's the thickness of the steel what determines how easy it goes into wood when you are trying to split.

Hello Mathew, i want to make clear the misunderstanding of the khukuri that you are thinking is the real one. Infact khukuri that have shiny polished kind of finishing is for souvenirs to the friends and family abroad and its also is manufactured for the British army for drill purpose. They have edges but are not meant to cut deep. Thank you. No offence my man. Nice video.

So not to state the obvious but this was a really bad test.
Neither of these blades are designed or made to split large logs like that. Second you where hitting the back part of the nepal khukuri first before the curve part of the blade which caused the blade to bouce so of course in would not stick into the log.
Maybe take a little time to learn how to use that tool properly first.
3rd you took and batoned the cold steel machete through the wood but did not do that with the Nepal khukuri which would have batoned through the log just as easy if you had done the same thing.
So I do not see how you can come to a conclousion that one is better then the other with out doing the exact same thing with both?
I cannot speak for the cold steel Machete as I do not own one nor have had a chance to use one. But I can speak to the Nepal khukuri's as I own several from there and all of them are amazing tools and weapons for that matter when used properly.
Now I do not know when it became a thing for people to take every damn knife or tool and decide that they all need to be able to split giant logs with but that is what axes and mauls are for not a Khukuri or your camp knife or your hunting knife. it is un realistic and just plain stupid in my opinon but hey I digress when I see stuff like this.
If you are going to do a compairison of blades then at least do a fair one.
And oh ya love how you ended up using wedge's and a damn sledge hammeer in the end which is what really ended up splitting the log and then say that the cold steel was better.
That is pretty laughable.

well that is my 2 cents which is not probably worth anything these days.

I used a kukri once. I chopped a coconut and it exploded and blew up a pirate ship.

Most of the khukris that are exported are usually showpieces which don't have enough sharpeness try getting one which is used in Nepali household you will see the difference

It's amazing how many idiots got offended because a thin knife cut better then a thicker one. This is one test on one material.
Some of the comments are so funny like the kukri is 5000 years old or it's not made for wood but chopping heads off.
I imagine these are the same people that believe if you learn kung-fu you can run on tree tops.
You an your brother I really enjoy the way you guys are trying real world stuff. I enjoy testing without trying to destroy everything. I'm really wondering about that 3v kukri from coldsteel an the trailmaster but they are way out of my pay grade. I really can't justify any knife over $200 and really that's $50 more then I've ever paid for a knife. Not saying there aren't knives worth that kind of money just I can't justify spending it when many great items are far cheaper. An do the same job some even better.

Dude why you're kukri so blunt? There are people who can sharpen your knives if you don't know how to do it

Not a valid test at all, you can beat any kind of metal through a piece of wood with a big enough hammer
