Cold Steel - Gurkha Kukri

The Kukri, with its iconic downward curved blade, has long been identified with the Gurkha Warriors of Nepal, the ferocious warriors who have wielded this blade for over 150 years and fought in the service of the British Empire.
Cold Steels Gurkha Kukri harnesses the true full potential of the Kukri blade shape -- It's so much more than just a chopping weapon, it's also a piercing, slashing, and smashing weapon as well! Our Kukri is the heaviest Kukri on the market. The blade is almost an inch wider near the tip than at the handle, shifting the knife's balance point forward to allow a substantial blow to be struck with minimal effort, using inertia alone to complete the cut.
This groundbreaking knife will out-chop almost any factory or handmade blade; including some hand forged Japanese Katanas!
Available in VG-1 San Mai and O-1 Steel, each Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri is supplied with a Secure-Ex® sheath to protect the blade and allow you to wear it safely and securely - always ready to deploy in a flash, whatever the task!

Overall Length: 17"
Steel: 0-1 OR San Mai III
Weight: 22 oz

This knife is prominent in Nepal since thousands of years, Blacksmiths here in Nepal forge them and make them very good. 80% of the household own one.

I do love my kukri. My nephew carried it every camping trip and let me use once and while to trim branches off trees before cutting up firewood.

I respect you how you describe our national weapon from 14 15 16 century. This is the short khukuri that is given to troops but the king Prithivi Narayan Shaha have 2'3" khukuri.

My brother bought a real one home from nepal many years ago. Serious heavy blade. The notch apparently legend has it that years ago back in the day when the blade was drawn in battle, blood must be spilled serimoniously, So if the blade was drawn in mistake the user must put his thumb in the notch and draw his own blood. My brother had a real one from nepal and the notch was definatley lethal and definattely would draw blood for sure.

It’s soo cool to have a brand new knife each time someone is cutting something.

This is by far not the same knife each time!
