How to wash your hands properly? Demonstration on Global Hand Hygiene Day

On Wednesday, May 5, Geneva's water jet became orange, the color of the WHO's hand hygiene campaign. A strong symbol illustrating Geneva's central place as the heart of this project.

A celebration took place at nightfall, with representatives from the WHO, the State Council member Mauro Poggia, the General Director of the HUG Bertrand Levrat and Prof. Didier Pittet, Head of the Infection, Prevention and Control Service (SPCI).

The event was broadcast live and ended with a demonstration of good hand hygiene by nurses from the Infection, Prevention and Control Division of the HUG.
