The deputy performed a traffic stop and questioned what Tedesco was doing. He explained he was responding to a fire call in Miami. The story changed a few times. Tedesco asked for a break in the violations because he was a 9/11 fire fighter. The Deputy called a NYPD Fire Station supervisor who confirmed James did not start at NYPD until 2003 well after 9/11 and was medically retired in 2018.

Deputies searched his vehicle and found:
NYPD Police jacket
DEA Hat
Two AR-15s
1,139 rounds of ammo
Fire uniform equipment
An ounce of pot
Brass knuckles

Tedesco is charged with impersonating a police officer and possession of marijuana.

If he's telling cops this bs, imagine what he tells normal citizens? Imagine him in the bar.

Silly cops. Don’t they know he’s a sergeant for the Metro-State fire protection services?

I have a feeling, that anyone who says they’ve been a part of 9/11 just to get off easier, probably never had anything to do with it, I think it’s disgusting to say that, when it’s not true, shame on him for that, and now he’s trying to use his father’s position, hoping he will get off easier that way

Dude he is legit. He fought fires in the GTA vice city vigilante missions back in the day.

The fact he lied about serving during 9/11 is just unconscionable. What a despicable individual 😡😡

This guy is obviously traveling the country putting fires out, arresting bad guys, and taking down the cartel. He's a one man multi department hero.

It’s actually kind of scary how many police imposters there are in the United States. Everyone be on the lookout for these creeps

Jeremy Dewitte would call him an amateur. He didn't ask for his Sargent nor did he cite any laws he knew.

Running code for just over 200 miles, that's some dedication right there, lol.

Clearly he didn't have that little voice in his conscience telling him "Don't DEWITTE!"

Word of advice- You cannot talk yourself out of trouble with the law. However you can easily talk yourself into trouble.

You have the right to remain silent. Use it.
