Mecca is the cantonment of pure monotheism, islam. So it's rules should be followed.

I understand this but I was alone in Jerusalem surrounded by Israeli soldiers looking to violate me. I didn’t have a choice but be alone. No one protected me. My non-muslim colleague was the only one who always protected me. I get that men will say these places are too dangerous for women. But it was an unexplainable experience. Men and women just don’t display protection or support anymore.
