Thanks for the first look at the Moza DD. Can't wait to see you on the Tuesday stream after you have the settings dialed in. I can see that Moza has built a good base for the market on their first time out. There is just one thing missing in the review for me to think very highly of them... A big smile, but settings aren't right so that could come on stream.

Hey Laurence, nice review, out of curiosity mate - have you tried the 21 as well, and if so would you say the difference is justifiable? I’m torn between the two, I think the 16 over the 12 makes sense because of the 18 bit resolution over the 12 but 16 to 21 becomes a different conversation….. same chassis, just power difference

Its great to have other offerings. I think what may hurt this one is that its too close in price to PROVEN wheel systems out there. But im happy to see more coming out. Good First Impression Laurence!

Great first impressions as always. Maybe a little to critical at the start, but afterall its your own first impressions. Think that mounting bracket should come standart with he base, when its a non-universal bolt pattern and theres no way of front or side mounting it like other bases. So no idea how they expect the average consumer to mount it without it. And that Wheel has lots of great features. Plenty of buttons and even dual clutch paddels from factory which is nice. Only downside is it's too colorfull and playfull with many random bright colors. Really doesnt fit with how good and classy the base looks. Think an all black and gold finish with the option to put stickers on it, should you wish to have a colorfull wheel would be a much nicer option.

Also dont know if I missed it in the end, but did the horn button actually turn out to be a pushable button? Its weird how weve come this far in sim racing, yet I cant think of a single sim-wheel that has a simple functioning horn button in the center. :D I know most people use them to race, but it still doesnt seem to far fetched for people that just want to cruise on an SRP server in assetto with their friends and just give the good old 3 honks on a straight stretch of road.

And not sure if the screen needs its own video. Think it should be part of the full review as I cant seem to find distributors selling it on its own and rather just have a bigger bundle with it included and for a 200€ price tag, that should be made clear if it does show its value. Especially since this base itself has no front mounting, theres also no way for the usual aftermarket options, so their own screen is the only real option if you do want to put a screen on unless you specifically 3d print something to fit the same holes.

You are getting alot more confident in front of camera, letting one rip at 1.30 and leaving it in the edit is a ballsy move.

The large diameter of the wheel should muffle the forcefeedback because of the longer lever it provides! Whill there be a review on the CSL DD?

Man the wheel ddoes look better with muted collors and a black ring... Still miss the gold though.

I don't know if it's the colors, the yellow stitching, the leather texture or something else but both Simagic and Moza wheels have this distinct "cheap" look. They may even be better quality than FANATEC offerings, but FANATEC doesn't have wheels that look this cheap. It proves the fact that even though most sim racing hardware is made in asia these days but where it's designed makes alot of difference...

I don't really like the look of this wheelbase, it looks too beefy and more like an entry level wheelbase (read Logitech, Thrustmaster, CLS Elite) designwise. I wouldn't be tempted to install that on my rig imho
