Do you know what your love language is?

Love speaks…and not only in words. Getting fluent in your own love language and the love languages of the people in the VIP section of your life can strengthen and deepen your relationships.

When you understand that there are unique ways each of us feels and receives love, you’ll be able to express your needs, wants, and desires more directly AND better understand and meet the needs of the people you love!

I’ve used The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts by Dr. Gary Chapman as a tool with my clients in my psychotherapy practice for years because it is so very effective.

In this episode, I’m sharing my take on the different love languages (plus dishing on my own!) and giving you my best tips to help you integrate some love language skills into your relationships so you can express yourself more succinctly and love and be loved the way you want!

You crack me up 😂 Thanks for your beautiful energy. I am also married to a Pisces whom considers my needs with acts of service. I am currently helping a single mom with her yoga practice and she give me words of affirmation. It makes me feel loved. I am a Scorpio and am currently struggling with my older daughter. I pray for her &I someday to have a more understanding relationship. Our struggles are breaking my husbands heart. I offered for her& I to seek therapy together and she said no. I will keep trying. You give me hope💕

At about the one year marker with the ex narcissist I bought this book. I had heard about it, didn't know much about a narcissist though. needless to say the begging to read this book and understand it and do the exercises went to the wayside. But it is a great book for people who aren't in a relationship with a narcissist! Thank you btw. 2 years ago when i was going through the withdrawals of the trauma bond I found you and a few others on YouTube who helped me clarify, validate and heal my traumas of my past in order to stop attracting narcissist. So thank you again.

Very much a wake up session.
I had to really re-think, my own
sense of, what it is to be a good
friend, to friends, and family.

I am having the hardest time explaining to my partner and him understanding that words of affirmation is how I feel loved. Because of his codependency recovery work I think he is stuck assuming that because I struggle with self image issues, that my asking for verbal affirmations is me trying to feel better about myself. I want to tell him No I’m trying to feel better about you, but feel that is harsh and wouldn’t do us any good. . He can’t seem to get the difference in seeking validation and trying to boost self esteem vs experiencing love through verbal affirmations. He’s read the book. He’s actually the one who asked me to read it. Any tips on how I can help him understand that there is a difference in wanting verbal affirmations to experience and emotionally connect to his love and seeking verbal affirmations to boost my self esteem? Thank you!! Your shows are really helping me in a lot of siffeeent areas.
