I actually think this scene is really important. Men can be in abusive relationships as well but they shouldn't be mocked for it. All of the Belchers showed concern for Teddy when he justified his ex-wife treating hm poorly. In pretty much any other animated sitcom, this would've been a huge joke. Like, they could've easily made Louise taunt Teddy about it but thankfully they didn't. And yeah, while Teddy's situations are played for laughs for the audience, to the characters within it, they understand how much of a dangerous mindset this could be for him
