How to Open a Hood Without Getting in the Car - Nissan Frontier

If your car is sitting in a parking lot, your battery could be completely dead. In this case, your car's security system might not let you in. Because your battery is feeding your car's security system as well. So, the only choice is to open your hood and charge your battery. This will reactivate your car's security system.

Buddy you just saved me. I just replace the hood latch assembly on my 2005 frontier and the cable release came out of the holder. I will follow your steps to get in and re secure the cable release. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Couldn't get it his way at wits end I stuck my hand up by tag plate and pulled black hood latch wire, it opened hood as if I opened from inside then just held tab and opened it rest of way, I think it's an easier and better technique if u got small arms like me or a son....

You can manually open the driver's side door with your key.
