That initial weight gain is from water retention probably. You're sore in a way your body isn't used to. Inflamation.

You look great man, regarding the topic of “unrealistic physiques”, if you give it your all you can absolutely achieve those “1 in a million physiques” (this only includes NATURAL physiques) as long as you perfect your training, diet and consistency, you really can’t imagine how would you look in 10 years if you do all that. At the end of the day the most important thing is that you are already happy with the physique you achieved.

You also mentioned you are great at cardio (AKA work capacity), you can use that work capacity to your benefit and do a lot of volume while recovering well, so maybe you are not as strong as other people, BUT you can tolerate MUCH more volume than others.

Clear example of this is Geoffrey Verity Schoenfield (GVS), he explains this whole work capacity thing in a video and he himself is on the weaker side but bigger work capacity.

I've been bigger then sam ! I trained very hard in late 1990's into 2020 before the big C hit ! My protein intake was about 300 grams per day just no breads or sauces! and i was a 310 pound 6"5 foot monster bigger then most these enhanced folks . I never took anything in my life besides creatine, hmb, and maybe some pre-workout which i really don't like because of the tingle ! Right now as of 4 months ago i started back up ! I'm now 46 243 and get pretty weak compared to then ! But let's see if i can top this guy again at my age now with again absolutely healthy diet no extras! Ever ! I should have done youtube back then I'd probably have been a pro but recording and showing off is just not my thing. I'm a private leave me alone love life without the drama type of person as you can say 😂😂. Awesome job btw ! And yes even i got sick nausea, dizziness and sometimes even barfing because of training.

I love how you showed you were looking forward to that junk food and then changed the approach. It shows just how important it is to keep an eye on the data and then respond accordingly.

Something worth mentioning, if you're regularly going to failure and doing partial reps you have to beware of doing damage to your joints & connective tissue. I've found drop sets to be a really good way for me to hit failure an additional time during the set but then prolong that failure with partials at a weight that doesn't risk injury.

I'm glad you're actually doing it for 90 days. Most of these influencers challenges are only 30 days or less! Not long enough to see any significant changes.
