Surly the writers know a green card marriage won’t just be painfully predictable but so cliche🙄 which is why I believe they won’t go down that route. It will just be lazy writing at its best. I think it’s a way for Lauren to help with her money and connections but this time with leyla’s approval and knowledge. a juxtaposition of two ways Lauren will use her privilege. Andddd it will eventually bring them closer to mending their relationship
