Kacey: "Good news is you gotta lot of it."
Lauren: "If I give it to her then she'll get to stay, but then our entire relationship is transactional and eventually she's gonna resent me for it."
Kacey: "And if you don't?"
Lauren: "Then she's gonna have to leave the country and I'm never gonna see her again."

At this point, lauren is just there for leyla to use. Leyla knows how much lauren loves her and would do anything to keep her in the US, and there she comes, running back to lauren, starts talking to her and here we are, asking for money because she “doesnt know who to ask”.

Not gonna say anything just gonna see what the writers will do next since every relationship in this show is complicated n i dont understand why complicated their relationship when they work in this hard n stressful hospital..its mentally n physically exhausted n now emotionally exhausted to work there..

I do not see the similarities between the two scenarios...a loan between two people (who are not currently in a relationship anyway) is VERY different from one secretly paying for a spot for the other (that did not exist, nevermind was not available). They can be friendly colleagues until the money is paid back and only then think about a romantic relationship.
