I was homeless in college. I had my rent paid for initially as I was an "intern" at an apartment complex (basically 15 hrs a week as maintenance helpers got us free rent).... Anyway I eventually was told they were doing away with the program and I had 3 days to move out of my shared college apartment. Well we were in the middle of the "turn", where they basically were remodeling and renovating all the apartments. I managed to keep my maintenance key that got in all of them. I stayed one step ahead of them as I would stay a few days in the one they weren't working on yet and move along as they went. Did it for 8 months. Thanks College Grove!!!

Yes, I do one of my friends was homeless, and he lived out of his storage unit for over a year. Now he has his own place and his LivingWell.

Honestly, I wouldnt convict or penalized ANYBODY living in a storage unit! And as for breaking the law, it should be illegal to price people out of the housing market!

I'm 55 year old woman, and I live in a storage unit in the farm land part of Wisconsin. I work full-time but don't have a car, so I walk everywhere where. It's cold as crap but hotel rooms are expensive. I do stay in a hotel once a week to shower.

Better than living outside exclusively, you get a restroom, sometimes power, signal sometimes as well. Most importantly though a roof over your head you can call "yours"

Its possible to live very well in a storage unit. Keep quiet, stay alone, mind your business, keep your billl paid on time, and get a gym membership for showering and restroom.

Unfortunately, it's the only option many have these days. Nobody wants to do it, but they don't have any other options.

Change your clothes within the unit you can shower at he's just really need the unit to sleep you can sleep in the daytime you can sleep from 9 26 pretty safe then leave

Well, it's safer than living in some other situations. On the street, in the woods, or in a car for example.

Ok, it honestly isnt as bad as if u break rules for apartments or cant afford rent and u get kicked out..same stuff but less to deal with and save money for those who cant afford a down payment and good credit score for crappy apartments that are overpriced. No ones dream is to live in one.. people are just trying to survive.. maybe the government should provide housing for homeless and people in the between so no one has to sneak around just to survive
