Sped up footage of forging a large, 13 inch blade from American-made 1095 high carbon steel. The knife features a fully sharpened false edge, a Spanish notch, and saw-tooth serrations on the spine. A curved and hooked cross-guard can be coupled with the serrations or Spanish notch to bind opposing blades.

Pretty nice, I just finished two chefs knives and I’m working on a Nessmuk skinner. I might give a Bowie a try next.

Good job! I've read that some bowies could have a brass spine to catch blades, but I doubt it would work as good as what you did
