My car is 7 year old and would like to buy a new one.

But will not buy a car as a stand against this tax terrorism. It is too much after paying lakhs of taxes and indirect taxes why should I even pay 50% tax on a car.

What do I get in return. The roads which ensures the car doesn't even last for 5 years.


Ridiculous toll charges. Gsts on everything like insurance and what not and that too 28% bracket.

You are right that the prices of Cars have been increased phenomenally in the last few years. Honda city which was available for 8 Lakhs now cost 15 Lakhs. Once cost of Innova was under 10 Lakhs but its base varient cost 18 Lakhs, therefore, who will like to purchase a Car until it is very essential or he doesn't worry about money.
Lastly, this trend will continue in 2025 also, in fact, seeing the present geographical situation, Car market will further go down.

Ghatiyaa cars ki quality with boring engines. Ab sirf mileage oriented engines ban rahey. Yahaan toh 1.5 Ltr NA engine ko aisey parosa jaata hai jaisey pata nahin kitna bada engine dey diya ho. Taxation system kaa flaw hai. Ab Turbo engines ki taraf push kar rahey lekin maximum janta unki maintenance afford kar nahin paayegii agar kharchaa aaya toh. Higher tax higher price slabs waali cars par hona chahiyee tha. Jo 10-15 lacs tak ki range ki kharid raha hai woh need key liye khareed raha hai naa ki showbaazi key liye. Cars mehngii ho gayein lekin TCS toh ex showroom 10 lacs par hi lag jaata ab bhi. Usko badhaakar 15 lacs tak karna chahiyee. Upar sey road par itna traffic hai ki car chalaana bhi sardard bantaa jaa raha.

Higher tax lekar sirf jantaa ko lootaa jaa raha. Aap Eastern Peripheral Highway par jaiyee. Aisi ghatiyaa road banayee hai jismein sirf bumps miltey hain. Unpar bhi toll tax do. Roads ki per km ki cost kitni aa rahi woh disclose hota nahin. Officials aur thekeydaar milkar khaa jaayein chaahey paisa. Kuch jagah toh money kaa disclosure nahin ho sakta like Natiomal Security sey related lekin baaki jagah kaa toh hona chahiyee ki paisa kahaan jaa raha aur kaisey utilize ho raha. Bihar mein pull banta hai aur ek hi baarish mein kya ho jaata hai. Aisey aur kaafi kaarnaamey hain.

10-15 saal key liye zyaada money spend karna wortb it toh hai nahin. Upar sey kaafi jagah toll tax kaafi zyaada padta hai. Kuch jagah jitney kaa petrol kharch hoga lagbhag utna hi toll tax.

Sir old cars were far better in quality and overall longevity. I have a polo from 2011 and its still like brand new and additionally i purchased a brand new i20 in 2023 and i can clearly feel the difference in materials and overall build quality. And moreover growing traffic problems like jams, construction and parking have forced me to use 2 wheeler for daily commutes.

I have got reliable Honda Cars and will continue with it till it completes 15 cars. I don’t want to spend my Hard Earned money on unnecessary taxes for which we get no returns.
