My sister as like... An 11 year old, kept talking about a man in the house we'd recently moved into, that would stand at her window inside the house. Now, my parents knew there was absolutely no way there was anyone could possibly be in the house bc this house was t i n y. So, being open minded and a bit spooky, the only answer was a ghost. They politely asked him to leave, that it was time to move on, that this house wasn't his anymore, and better things were waiting for him.
Cut to like a couple months down the road, my mom and sister are walking through the memorial part of our church(it's just like-- a little hallway/alcove with some news clippings and stuff from accomplished people in our community) when my sister stops my mom in front of a newspaper clipping hanging on the wall and goes "that was the man at my window!" It was the man who built the house. He had died many years before we moved in. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Children sometimes see weird shit bc their perceptions of the world are still being formed. They're open to a whole lotta stuff that adults aren't.
