Parker Valby ran the fastest time ever at 18:55, and setting new record for the NCCA Women's Cross Country Championship. Parker is super impressive and amazing.

Tremendous race for Parker Valby! She leverages her strengths--anyone who beats her must earn it. Also, Doris Lemngole is a great talent. Next year could be her turn. Tough day for Tuohy, but she'll have better days, no doubt. Also, NC State does the unbelievable and wins the title without their #2 runner. Tuohy's 5th place was crucial to the team's success.

Boy when you see some athletes literally crawling over the finish line, that is one tough day at the office!

I'll say, just watching all of these girls give all they can is just inspiring. You can just see how much it means to all of them (not just the leaders but even those who come in towards the back of the pack) and how much they give their all. That is why sports are so great and watching this race makes me emotional with awe and amazement!

What a race for the PACK.
-Tuohy toughed it out despite being sick.
-Amaris came in clutch (finally)
-their 4th runner finished at the same time as two other runners and edged them out probably by hundredths. If THOSE runners edged her out, they would've lost.
-Bush passed 14 runners in the last K
...a hard fought day.

I feel bad for Tuohy as I think some in the media and some fans want to see someone just keep winning and put the athlete on a pedestal. Then when they fall short in some races then the criticism starts. Remember, or research Jim Ryun, a great high school runner who was on a collision course to Olympic gold but managed to get silver. He was roasted by media and fans. He did have a long list of world record runs so he did not deserve the abuse. I hope Tuohy runs to satisfy herself and not for the media or fickle fans. She must be learning from the losses as well as the wins so I suspect she will be training hard for 2024.

Great team win for NC state. I didn’t expect them to win without Chmiel.

Valby shows me once again that over training and too much muscle can be a hindrance. Valby has a strategy that has been working amazingly though I wanted Tuohy to win, You have to congratulate Parker on an excellent
