This might be the hardest he's ever flexed on stream - and we've seen him flex pretty hard - but i love it more than i love my kids.

imagine how humiliating it must be seeing your opponent's pieces move instantly, knowing that you just got premoved for nine turns in row.

How does he manage to keep a straight face when he finishes pre moving? That's more impressive.

It's a light-squared bishop guy's and his kings cuttin off his king from moving forward but I mean none the less hikaru's a beast 100%

In no world I'm trying to reduce this amazing play. Now, hear me out. He blocked both enemy pawns, his Queen was protected in a black square blocking the King, he walks his king in black squares so enemy white Bishop can't do anything. When you look at it that way, it's simple. Obviously he being able to get the game to that situation and make good use of it like he's been here a thousand times(which really is the case) is something that let me in awe.

As someone who can barely see mate in 2s the fact that people can see mate in 9+s is just absurdly impressive to me.

Me: Get a Legall’s mate
Also me: Happier than I’ve ever been before
Hikaru: Premoves a mate in 24 with a queen, and double rook sacrifice.
Also Hikaru: Alright, next game

Fun fact : Hikaru can checkmate with a king

MatheusLB

Its actually not that complicated
he keeps his queen in a spot so that the king is stuck in a tiny area and he moves his king on the dark squares so the bishop does not interfere and then sets up a checkmate

you know it's over when hikaru starts looking at the ceiling

King and Queen endgame can lead to a long series of safe premoves, which is cool for time management online. Hikaru give us a great example, because is position add a bishop and a few pawns to the mix.

This is impressive, and if you know the logic behind, its even more amazing, he had his pawn and king on dark squares, his opponent only has light squre bishop, so there no way for him to lose his queen or pawn, so he just place his queen there to cut off the kings escape, and just premoved his king all the way over

to be fair its a king crossing the board vs just 2 pawns that can't move, a king on the other side of the board and a bishop on the white squares, so he pre moved along the black squares to get near the opposing king for a simple mate
