Questions involving expressions with square roots and surds sprinkled all over the place are very common in Maths Olympiads and practice makes perfect.

Even though this question looks fairly difficult in fact it can be quite easily solved using basic surd and root techniques, as we show in this video.

👉 1/√14-6√5 = ? This is really confusing because my answer is (-3-√5)/4 but the correct answer is (3+√5)/4
