(1+sqrt(5))/2 is the value of phi, the golden ratio.

One interesting property of phi is this:
phi^2=phi+1
phi^3=2phi+1
phi^4=3phi+2
phi^5=5phi+3
phi^6=8phi+5

Maybe you noticed the pattern here. The coefficient are the fibonacci sequence, and its really easy to see why. From there calculating phi^12 is a piece of cake:
phi^7=13phi+8
phi^8=21phi+13
phi^9=34phi+21
phi^10=55phi+34
phi^11=89phi+55
phi^12=144phi+89

I think this method is the intended one and taht its far easier than the one presented in the video.
