flickering started for a client after an update from windows updates, what a surprise... People should move to linux.

I don't know why this is happening, but my issue is if an app that plays a video such as youtube or obs is running in the background, my screen flickers and flashes. Can you help me fix it?

I had a total of 25 feet of HDMI cable connecting my computer to a second monitor, that being my Samsung TV. All was well for years. The 25 foot cable over the years had been tied to a motherboard video output, a GT 710 graphics card, a GT 1030 graphics card, and there was no problem at all. However, when my current computer, which has an AMD RX 6400 graphic card, the flickering problem and occasional complete black screen problem began. The 25 foot cable was composed of a 15 foot wide band HDMI cable tied to a cheap 10 foot HDMI cable. Anyhow, I replaced the cheap 10 foot cable with a 3 foot 4K HDMI cable, and all was well again. So the RX 6400 was just not able to do what the others could.

None of this worked. It happens when scrolling fb, on youtube, or just about anywhere with graphics. Both of my display drivers (laptop and firetv on hdmi for display) are up to date. I'm about to go back to Windows 10 AGAIN.

my flickering is from minecraft..the official one is there a way to fix this?

Got this issue for 2 weeks already, very annoying. RTX 2070 card, latest drivers. I have 2 monitors the one with display port workd, but my main monitor which is DVI is black, slightly blinking the screen+ monitor power button. After around 30 min it turns on by itself. Will try to do graphic card driver downgrade, cuz i don't have any other ideas, yesterday cleaned and changed thermal paste on both CPU and GPU.
