That's a hair splinter. You can get them if the hair is especially thick & sharp. I typically get them on my feet from one of my dog's guard hairs from his neck ruff.

That's not an ingrown hair, it's an embedded hair.

I don’t think this is real at all. For one the “hair” is the thickness or sewing string and two you can see where they went in on one end and pulled it through to the other end! Nice try though but as kids we used to do this all the time with string in the palm of our hands to see who could make it the longest lol! 😂😉😛

In grown hairs dont grow parallel to the outer epidermal layer, nor are they usally that straight.

my cousin is a hairdresser. she gets "hair splinters" all the time. in feet, in hands, sometimes even in her eyesocket. NOT ingrown.

I just removed one of these it was on my right bum cheek but in the middle of the cheek! I thought it was a spider vein so I didn’t think anything of it for months then I looked in the mirror and noticed a tiny pimple in the middle of it. I then realized it was an ingrown hair and pulled it out. I was shocked at its length but more so by its darkness and thickness. I’m not hairy there at all so what the hell?!

I got one in the bottom of my foot after being at the barbers. It was only in about half a cm but it was difficult to tug on to get out.
