FIX AUDIO PLAYBACK ISSUES IN PREMIERE - Premiere Pro Tutorial

Easy fix for when you're experiencing stuttering, crackling or laggy audio playback within Premiere Pro. This tutorial does not cover how to fix audio files themselves, it is assumed that the files you're trying to play back are fine, but Premiere is just not playing them back properly.

Thank you sir, this has saved me a mountain of grief. After changing my audio out and then changing it back, the audio and video speed had changed and I was almost pulling out my hair trying to resolve the issue. We just upgraded with new studio monitors and the latency was changed to 30ms during the process. Had no idea this could cause crackling. Changed it back to 200 and FIXED. Thank you. :-)

That switching no input on my sounblaster Z with digital output fixed my problem with choppy cracking playback. Yaaaay. Thank you.

Incrementar la Latencia fue la solución completa para mi. Había estado batallando con el stutter del playback cada que pausaba y reanudaba. Intente cambiar desde la configuración de audio del sistema, cambiar desde voicemeter banana y no servía nada. Esto lo solucionó. Like.

Increasing latency didn't help. I have 1 video track, 1 audio track, that synchronized with video because it's recorded along with video and the second audio track (music) accompanying the video. That audio (music) track is always gaping in playback in Premier Pro. There is no gaps when I produce project in file, though. Why do you select No input? Do you wanna disable your microphone?

I have this problem where my wave audio is there and everything but the meter for the audio stopped working 😅 this happened after I put everything together and out of no where I couldn’t hear anything anymore

I have been editing for over a year without ever accessing these settings. Can anyone explain to me how it spontaneously became a problem? I can't imagine a shortcut key is bound to this... Also, WHY, does an audio input affect this? I would like to actually understand this issue to have better intuition of the software. Thank you <3
