How to Fix No SIM Card Detected on Android

How can we go to sim setting when the problem is the device being unable to read/detect sim? Setting is not available for sim if the device doesn't detect sim in first place. My problem is my device sim slot is working and so is my sim but the device doesn't detect the sim, idk why but i don't think anyone would have solution for this

Restarting the phone is the only thing that works for me.. even though it's a temporary fix

Oh man this guy deserves a bigger like.. i was so frustrated before and did turn off couple off times and nothing worked and the funny part was i had no idea of restarting.. after watching this video i did a restart and damn all network came up. Good job brother and thankyou for such informative stuff

Putting tape over the sim card (to keep it in tighter contact with the phone) fixed the problem for me personally

Sir I want to mention that, the problem of no detection of SIM card by the mobile device may occur due to physical wear of SIM (which happend in my case once).

What happens actually that, the gold plates of the SIM are connected with eachother as metal weared out from both the plates and touches each other at the separation gap between the plates. The wearing happens due to friction between the plates of SIM and the connecting points on the SIM card slot (when SIM card is put in and out in the slot very often, this happens)

So when the plates touch eachother it become shorted and not detected by the device . So if the gap between the plates are scratched and cleaned by a blade the problem may be solved.

To be honest, I have tried all of this other than the factory reset before, but nothing worked and I cannot try it again now since that phone is “taking a holiday” with the lcd ribbon, but in my case the SIM cards were detected on both slots, but they cannot work (the icons show an “X” over the “stairs of network line”)

I have been struggling with it for a couple of months. I just solved it by pulling the tray out, cutting a piece of paper the same size, and shoving them down together. It is now connected

I wish l can give u 1000 likes man coz u have made me smile in my lyf coz it was now one week wen my simcards have no service l did everythg but l had forget dat if u resart de phone it brings bac de network coz me l removed de simcards in de phone but nthg l got . I went to go google and l found this video dere but am so hppy . May God grant u de best in dis lyf . Really l was scared for all my two simcards l had in my phone but am so. Restarting the phone works for me thank you, now my 2nd sim card worked already :))

Restart used to work. Then all of the sudden nothing will work. Full factory reset did nothing. Sim works in other devices still so idk.

I don't know if it's normal or not but when I put one sim in the second port, the mobile doesn't recognize either of the two SIM cards I put in but when both SIM cards are in they are both recognized. But in the first port, whatever SIM card I insert is recognized by the mobile phone, that is, only in the second port if I insert only one card, none is recognized.

Legend! sim car was turned off for some reason... (I flew recently, and there may have been a software update too?)
