I had a G shock when i was young. Left it at home when i moved out a couple of years ago. I went back to stay for christmas, and get woken up by an insistent beeping at 1 in the morning. Whaddaya know, its the G shock, still working, on time l, and apparently ringing the alarm daily for the last few years.

Casio watches in general are tough. I have a Casio Duro I wear and a scratched up $20 Casio I use for swimming. The cheap watch I have is scratched to hell and beat up but still works without a problem and better yet has a 10 year battery. Rolex and other brands have good watches but Casio is the Ak-47 of them all. Cheap and reliable, also accurate. Always gets the job done.

That's very impressive. For those wondering why he's comparing a Casio to a Casio G Shock; it's because Casio G Shock is a tougher quality and more expensive watch where as a regular Casio may have the same functionality, but isn't as tough. A regular Casio with G Shock functionality is around $10-40 tops so it's really impressive to see it hold up to the same tests.

Fun fact-the G shock had double the water resistance rating than the other watch, which would explain why it's gasket held out better under extreme temperature... I'd call the test bisased, get a 200m water resistance Casio and let's see if i'm right...
