Apologies if someone already mentioned this, but the theme for Malcolm in the Middle was by They Might Be Giants.  Me First And The Gimmie Gimmies are an "All-Star" punk band that play covers (Foofighter's Chris Shiflett is a member)

From what I've seen of the Fire TV Plex implementation, it is the only thing that would make me consider jumping from my Roku 2. While Roku does have Plex, the UI feels like it was designed several years ago (like many things on Roku) and hasn't received the attention it deserves for updates.

Pretty good review. Seems like the Fire TV would be more for folks who already use the Amazon ecosystem, meanwhile folks who don't really use Amazon for their content might not get as much use out of it. 

With luck they will continue to make refinements and improve the experience... and adding local media streaming from movies stored on your PC would almost make it worth the purchase. Now they just have to improve the UI... one nice thing to note is the UI seemed very snappy/responsive.

At $100 and without a dedicated controller and no external media playback I'm not sure why you'd get this over the Ouya unless you were married to Fire.

People are complaining about the pain they have to endure inflicted by their cable boxes. Agreed. But Lo and Behold (!) look what's coming to supersede the much hated and despised set-top box. It's a plethora of small gadgets coming from all sorts of vendors vying for attention (and free HDMI ports).
The future looks approx. like that : Attach 5 tiny devices to your TV if you wanna consume all available content. You'll have to use 5 remote controls and will have to grapple with 5 completely divergent user interfaces.
Who would call that a progress ?

Either way how does the Wi-Fi work if you have a decent FIOS connection.
