How to use Check Disk to repair a Hard Drive

To run check disk in windows 10, follow these steps,
In your search box, type cmd, then right click the Command prompt that appears at the top of the search window, and select Run as administrator.
In this tutorial, I will user Drive E as our example. The drive has 100 giga byte capacity.
Now lets run the check disk. On the command prompt, type check disk or C-H-K-D-S-K, space, then drive we going to check followed by colon, space, slash “f”, space slash “r”. Slash f option will attempt to fix any found errors, and slash “r” option will locate for bad sectors and recovery any readable information. After hitting enter, the program will then run and check your disk for errors, and fix any that it finds.
After finishing the check disk process, the system will show total disk space, file size available on the drive, how many indexes, bad sector if found, and total available space.

I had a folder on my usb didn’t want to delete for error 0xc80070570 I have been running a chkdsk /f for 2 days because the folder has a lot of folders in it as well but can I exit command prompt and format the usb instead ?

My system got all messed up while dealing with a sketchy mod download, I was installing it and I watched it delete every single thing on my c: desktop. I managed to get the system sort of working by powering off and doing a system restore but now, the permissions are messed up can't edit a text file on my c: none of the apps worked had to reinstall them including windows defender. I should have just reinstalled windows instead of doing all these steps
