I bought a PSP just to play this back in the day and this did not disappoint! Zack was a real hero! Soundtrack was in repeat legit for years afterwards, looking forward to this one!

Thank you for a great review. When they first revealed this remaster or remake I was so happy. I bought everything back in the psp version and I still have the wallpaper cut out from the walkthrough guide. I can’t wait to relive this all over again.

Your review intro is inaccurate. People weren’t asking for “another taste” of Final Fantasy VII when it released in 1997, because, back then, no direct sequels ever came out for Final Fantasy games. It wasn’t until Final Fantasy X-2 that ANY direct sequels had ever even been suggested.

X-2 (2002)came out only a year after Final Fantasy X (2001). This created the possibility for a prequel/sequel to any Final Fantasy games. By then, FF VII had been out for five years. No one thought Square would go back and re-visit an older title like that.

It wasn’t until Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, in 2005, that people began relishing the thought of revisiting the FF VII world. Dirge of Cerberus came out in 2006, along with the Japanese only mobile game, Before Crisis, while Crisis Core released in 2007. That’s a 10 year difference from the original of Final Fantasy VII.

I gave the original game like an 8.5. My biggest issue was dealing with 1 thumbstick. Having camera movement bumps it up to a 9 for me. The rest makes it a 9.5 in my book. If it was not so short I would give it a 9.7

I love your channel overall but you do tend to give out high scores really easily. You were the only channel to give Thymesia and Diofield a 9 out of 10. Sometimes when high scores are so frequent it becomes hard to truly know if it is that great or not. Hopefully it is as good as you say, looking forward to trying it.

Why do you have to put HONEST in the title? That should already be a given. It should just read: My Review of Crisis Core FF VII Reunion. Putting HONEST in there makes it sound like you've been dishonest in the past.
