From the record-breaking amenities in Perfect Day at CocoCay to relaxing nature trails on Carnival's Half Moon Cay and from stunning Beaches in Belize's Harvest Caye to Castaway Cay's special Disney touch, this list is certain to stun you!

We will check out both Royal Caribbean private islands, including Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas, which recently underwent a $250 million transformation and now features Thrill Waterpark (including 12 waterslides, a wave pool, and several ZipLines), Up, Up, & Away (a hot air balloon), Oasis Lagoon (the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean), Coco Beach Clubhouse (an exclusive club with floating cabanas), and Chill Island (some of the best beaches in the Caribbean). The island is frequently visited on Caribbean Cruises on Oasis Class ships (Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Symphony of the Seas) from Miami, Port Canaveral, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Labadee, Haiti is Royal Caribbean's first private resort destination with the Dragon's Breath Zipline (one of the longest ZipLines in the World). Harvest Caye, Belize and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas are two stunning private islands owned by Norwegian Cruise Line and Castaway Cay is Disney Cruise Line's premier resort. Carnival Cruise Line (and its subsidiaries Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, Aida Kreuzfahrten, Cunard, Costa Cruises, and P&O Cruises) also owns several islands, including Half Moon Cay (on Little San Salvador), Princess Cays, and Amber Cover, Dominican Republic. MSC Cruises also recently opened the Ocean Cay Marine Reserve in the Bahamas near Bimini. Just a few miles to the South is Virgin Voyage's brand-new The Beach Club at Bimini Islands.

Never heard of Ocean Cay, but it really does look nice and I appreciate MSC taking an industrial island and turning it into this marvel. Well done MSC!

MSC Ocean Cay is beautiful for natural snorkeling and beach experiences. Thank you to them for restoring this industrial site and bringing back the ocean life. Many fish, turtles and conch shells in the water.

Cocoa Cay was awesome, We spent most of our time in the lagoon pool. I’m surprised the Castaway Cay did not make a top. It has so many different areas as well. We loved riding the bikes, and being at the adult beach Serenity Bay. I really would love to go to Ocean Cay. We had an MSC cruise planned for last week. But they lied to me three times about our reservation and what the policies state on their website, so I cancelled

Coco Cay is actually my least favorite private island. I mean, who needs a wave pool and another artificial pool when you can swim in the sea just a couple of feet next to it. I prefer more low-key (no pun intended) islands like Half-Moon Cay, Castaway Cay and even Labadee, even though it's expansion and addition of money grabbing offerings is getting worse with every visit.

An over-water Cabana for $1000 for like half a day? Come on, you'd probably spend less for a day in a better equipped bungalow in the Maldives...

Okay, but how do you include a peninsula on this list of islands but leave Castaway Cay off? It’s exclusive to Disney (doesn’t share with other lines, and rarely even with a second ship), natural beaches, and doesn’t nickel and dime you to death with massive up charges. And they have an adults only beach. RC charges you for their own water park, on top of everything else. $90 for a zip line, how much is the water park on top of that?
