In this video, Scott Morris covers Juniper SRX security policies and how they determine what transit traffic is and is not trusted. He further shows you how these policies play a central role in controlling the flow of information in a Juniper network, regardless of whether the traffic is intrazone or interzone.

After watching this video, you will know the role that Juniper SRX security policies play in the processing of transit traffic within a Juniper network. You will also know what the security policies do not handle, such as host inbound traffic to a device. Scott goes on to describe the system default policy, which denies all traffic, as well as factory default policies. He further discusses trust zones, such as trust to trust, trust to untrust and untrust to trust, and the default policies for these. He describes, too, how the flow of traffic within these zones are bidirectional.
