There is still polygamy with multiple live women. Nieces are still married off to their uncles. It may not be standard, but it definitely happens and the people doing it are often Mormons.

This sounds like some men are quite sadistic towards women in this "church" than... Women need financial connections, social connections, romantic relationships, sex, love, closeness, etc. and all that is just as much of a need of a woman as just as much as a need of a man. If a woman is not allowed do all that, not even in an official way, it is pure evil, sadistic behaviour. Poor women in the Mormon church.
