Tbh that dog was one of the best dog actors I've ever seen. Today they would probably take a dog nowhere near as talented and underpay someone to make the dog act a certain way via CGI

Not defending the actors getting underpaid. I'm saying the dog was paid a fairly but the human actors should have been paid even more than the dog

Dogo had a lead role, munchkins were just extras, there were dozens of them.
Also, dogo was on for the entire movie, the munchkins had a short bit at the start.
