The output level (the meter on the right-most side) of the "after" is always much higher then the "before" so the comparison is not fair. Of course it will sound better if it is louder.

I love this plugin! I used it on an acoustic guitar very similar to how it was used in this demo video and it worked very well. It was easy to use before I read the manual or saw this video.

How can you gain stage properly with this plugin? I would like to compress then adjust my volume back to the properly level.

This had potential. To make it more applicable, comparisons should be made at roughly the same volume. That way we can have a more accurate representation of what the compressor is doing, not just adding a bunch of volume. Just my two cents. I do appreciate the efforts of demonstrating the plugin though and the walk through.

Ok.
I am totally new to this stuff but even I can tell a bad demo.
The example at the end with the different levels of music sounded better without the plugin.
The dynamic shifts were more exciting and getting them all at the same level took the life out oof it.
At a club i'd be more affected when the upbeat part kicked in with a bit more level.
