It’s funny that beginners are taught that this is completely wrong. Although I would do a less steep
curve and this is extreme, this trick will single handedly make your tracks sound great if done right. Once you are able to hear the 20k rumble, you will never unhear it. You’ll see someday 😎

hi passing up to 30 Hertz will make your track sounds thin

It’s all highly relative, contextual and subjective. There are no set rules and dogmas. Figure out what makes your track sound best. (Pro tip: most tools you need are already somewhere inside fl studio). If you’re happy with the final result without any sort of self deception then chances are someone else will like your project too.

Tldr: figure out for yourself, trial and error, keep trying.

Who does a cut that steep on their master? 😂😂😂

Low cut should not be put onto the master, only low shelf. Also, cranking the gain on master like this just pushes your levels too high. You should be keeping dB lower and using saturation to create perceived loudness.

What about the phase problems the EQ will create when high passing

Loudness is killing music, break this trend please.

Isn't low cut on master dangerous for phase shift and correlation ?

Someone told me this and it ruined my mix for a whole year. do not do this if u make trap beats

You shouldnt need to do this if you have a good mix and decent mastering knowledge. Cutting information is never a good idea when mastering.

I've face one problem most of the time i use high pass on my trap kicks, they just loose it's tightness, impact, and it's waveform looks completely changes if I print it out after high pass... Anybody know what can I do in that situation?

This is misleading bc u have saturation on explain that it makes it easier to understand

Yeah, uhhhh dont do this.... this only creates phasing issues with your low end. You should NEVER be low cutting anything on the master. Your low end should already be dialed in once you reach the mastering stage. There are actually useful mastering tricks to help increase your perceived loudness that dont fuck with the sound info in your track

Yeah, put up the gain to mess up all your frequencies and kill dymamics and then cut the low end, how to mess up your song in a few secs

Yeah you’re just gonna cause phasing and make your kick lose all its edge if you do this.

Cutting this hard is bad for your tracks phase
