Live plants are a lot beter than plastic plants because they prevent algue and there's plenty of aquatic-plants that are easy to care for. A good beginner plant would be bacopa carolinia or limnophila sessiflora. Another bonus is that live plants create a beautiful aquarium

not seeing any videos for Q series air pumps. mine recently stopped blowing a strong stream of air and i purchased and installed the repair module, which did not help. i am able to manually blow air and replicate the stream that i had for the prior four years. are there any other replacement parts that may be causing the pump to fail? i have the Q2. it is 4 years old.

These aren't bad ideas, I can't imagine every person wants to trim their plants all the time, as well as young hobbyists and keepers, but I feel like these could be more realistic by now, or should look more realistic. These remind me of the same look as plastic aquariums toys when I was a young child, and I'm over 30 now... I would think technology on this should have enhanced more, but I guess there might be more restrictions and problems to this than I understand.
