Quick congrats to Fluval.
Easy to see the dedication being applied, to offer outstanding products that work.
I have used Eheim and Sera products for over 30 years, and I can see that Fluval is now in that same level of excellence.

You'll be glad to know we've already planed for a video specifically on PAR. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for this.

@Hi, glad you're loving the LED! The item number for the Performance LED cable suspension kit is A3979. If you prefer to utilize mounting clips, the item number is A3978. Your nearest pet supplies dealer should carry both items.

@skyh2k, thanks for your interest in the Fluval Aqualife and Plant Performance LED Lighing system.
You'll be happy to know that extensive PAR data will be available on the full line very soon. We'll be sure to have a representative from our customer service dept. share the graphs with you as soon as they become available. Meanwhile, can you specify what PAR values you're looking for?

I love how I got a response back to my question! PS... I RETURNED your light this morning! Primarily due to your customer service. I called and asked what the par value was on this light and got some generic answer! I then asked if I could add an additional light to achieve what I was trying to accomplish (carpeted dwarf hair grass) and still got some generic answer handed down from the corporate office in Canada! Don't put a product on the market if you don't know what you are selling!

Hi Bryan,
Yes, you could definitely use the LED lighting for your FLUVAL Roma 200 and you are correct, the tank would be open.

@Jorge, yes, these LEDs include nighttime lighting features.

@Craig, that's a great and timely question. We're actually getting ready to publish a PAR infographic for the full line. We'll let you know as soon as this information becomes available.
In the meantime, to provide an accurate response to your question, could you tell us which PAR values you are looking for specifically?

Hi Tobias, are you located in the US?

Hi Tobias, we're adding both items to our Hagen US website, and you'll be able to order them directly from us. I'll give you a head's up when they're up on the site. Should be a day or two.

Hi team3gk, did you mean a 40-gallon tank? You also didn’t mention the depth of your tank, which is an important consideration as is what is being kept.
The lighting will be enough if you have only fish, and no plants. If keeping plants with a high light requirement and a CO2 system, we recommend you use two lighting systems. Alternatively, for plants requiring low or medium level lighting, it should be okay.

Did you guys make some sort of back alley deal with Aquatic Life? What up with the name and similar logo? Either way, can't wait till these guys hit the store. I like how you are showing the PAR and LUX, takes the guess work out of testing.

Wish you guys would go with a more tasteful look for the fixture, but beauty is on the inside right?

Hi Richard, can I start by offering my sincere apologies for the unsatisfactory response you received to your inquiry. This level of support appears to have fallen below the usual high standards of satisfaction provided by our Customer Service team.
Addressing your questions and comments as accurately and as timely as possible is our first priority. This feedback helps us understand what we are doing right but more importantly, it helps us understand where we can make improvements.

Hi,
PAR data is a measurement of energy over an area over time and is NOT UNIMPORTANT, but of LESS IMPORTANCE. It has no relationship to spectrum. If a lot of light is produced but not of the spectrum preferred by plants or other photosynthetic organisms, it is of far less value as a spec vs. spectrum.
Measurements are more relevant in terms of energy at the point where the light meets the leaves. This said, even ground cover plant leaves are mostly inches above the substrate.

Looking forward yo the par specs too. Might part with the cash then.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply and for providing the part number (looking for the mounting clips) but I still can't find anyone who actually carries them!
Every store I've found (online and brick-and-mortar) who sells the lights doesn't carry the accessories.
Sorry to be a pest, but can you direct me to anyone who actually sells the parts??
Thanks!

Bought the 36" light today!
The package insert shows hardware for mounting in a hood and says it's sold separately.
I can't find this hardware anywhere - including the Hagen home site!
Help - love the light but how the heck am I supposed to install it if I can't buy the hardware?? :(

For your additional reference, we developed extensive documentation on PAR data that we recently completed. This information has not yet been published and we would be more than happy to share this with you, if it is of interest to you.

If you would like to receive this document and/or if you wish to discuss this matter further, please don’t hesitate to email us directly at:

I hope to hear from you soon.
Kind regards,
Team Fluval

Love the nano light. It's a great product with the right spectrum. Well thought out. The only down side I see is the mounting. Is Fluval making a fix for this? The idea of using tape to hold the light does not seem like a long term solution.
