Thank you for making this video and a lot of things here resonate with me. I hit most of the criteria regarding being bored at work, not learning much, no ambition or goals at the current company, no longer want to go down this career path, etc. However, what I find a hard time and difficulty with is that I get paid really well, I have great PTO time, and I am fully remote. The perks of the job are very difficult to find elsewhere. So if I didn't have fully remote, I would of quit the job or if my pay was low. But because of the remote option, I am hanging on for dear life. However, I am losing the time which I won't get back for money. So I want to quit and I know it's time to quit but letting those benefits go is no easy task because I know after a short break, I am going to need to work again and I won't find those benefits and pay again.

I quit my job last year and I experienced a lot of the things you talked about. Like a pebble in your shoe and my emotions being hard to control. I was a waitress and I could no longer put up with rude customers. My eczema got so bad that I had to take treatments in a hospital and I could not sleep. It was a very difficult time.

All of this is so relatable, but the effects of stress on your mental and physical health were the most scary part. Glad you got out and can enjoy life again, you deserve it 💚

Your journey reminds me a lot of my own. I definitely lost myself in my previous jobs and i have become a completely different person now. Great video ❤

This video goes to show life is so much more joyful doing the things that you like, have tendered my resignation 2 weeks back and by next week would be my last week, can't wait to start anew and looking forward for my short term career break

I could relate with everything you share. I'm still giving myself time. I really need to think. Im afraid that I'll regret my choice if I can't find another job

I love the pebble analogy! I know exactly that feeling of learning new skills while on the job. I left a job a few years ago, it was tough but at the end of the day there was no growth for me after a while. Definitely had pros and cons, great content!

I understood that you faced your mental and physical stuggles after you decided to quit your job.
"I know that one cannot control a single stage". I am having the same position as you. I learnt something from you. Thank you a lot.

Hi Mako, you give me the confidence that quitting a job isn’t as scary as it seems. I resonate with your thoughts. I am exactly in your shoes rn when you were about to quit your job. Thanks for showing your true self through these vlogs. ❤

Very helpful video, Mako! I also like the "word search" as chapters in this video. Right now, Im at the stage where I am holding on to the job because it allows me to be flexible (work from home, rare office days, nice bosses). This flexibility allows me to focus also on cooking for me and my husband, taking care of my parents and being able to take some breaks. However, there are only 3 of us left due to company downsizing and this actually puts me in a bind whether to stay or wait for it to close so I can get a higher separation pay. It has definitely affected my physical and mental health.

Can really relate to the things you said in the video, especially the repetitive work once you get used to it. I heard a story from my former teacher that taking pills too much would cause problems down the road like cancer, she also said if one experiences headache it was mostly due to lack of water. I hope you are more healthy now than before.

I love your videos :D
Thanks for always being so inspiring :)
Hope you had a good easter as well?
I got out of my old job and that was the best decision ever :D and now I am back at my old-old job but I love that job :D
And since my boss ALWAYS got my back and support what ever decision I makes.
I have only been sick 8 days for 15 years there.

Mako, my dear "virtual friend" : thank you for the honesty you display in your videos. Even though I live in a completely different environment(Africa), I deeply resonate with what you say! I was working for a Bank until 2023 where I was feeling like a good slave just obeying orders and shutting my mouth even when things were not going the right way, because of the general climate of fear that prevailed in the company...I ended up leaving because I could not deal with those vibrations anymore...May D ivine providence have mercy on us...

The pebble in your shoe is so real. Also, Europeans got it right, they work to live not work to live like here in the US. Thanks for sharing your story, glad to know you have made it out and made a new path for yourself
