If you clear coat it, it will have a deeper gloss and hold up longer and it buffs out much easier.

More than a year ago I did exactly what you did and I have same model and color car, that had same clearcoat nightmare, and it looks like yours, I just taped whole car off and sanded some areas and doing it again because I didn't do some small areas last time, and to have more coats to last longer

Looks great. I've done the same kind of thing with rattle cans of rustoleum, and the fade over time is a real problem. Having invested all the prep time and paint supplies, why not do a rattle can clear coat to buy yourself another couple of years? Any one?

I just did a long bed Chevy truck and a quart once thinned did the whole truck except the hood out of a sprayer. $12 Glossy as you can lay it down.

I used it and it came out very sticky at the end even after shaking it for a min and waiting a few hours;-; starting to think I went wrong somewhere

How can you say anything if you didn't clear coat it. The spraymax 2k clear would've protected the paint. The review means nothing

I'm going to do this to my daughters 1998 Chevy Prism. Should I use 2K clear coat afterwards, or just leave it with the Rustoleum only?

Did you paint it, wet sand it buff it polish it and seal it or did you just paint it and leave it
