In this video I share all the tips and tricks on how to spray 2k clear over @RustOleumBrands @RustOleumAutomotive turbo spray paint. This 2k clear makes your turbo spray paint last for years and also deepens the shine. Another cool feature of using this catalyzed clear is that you can wet sand and buff it to a show car finish and it makes it chemical and gas resistant. This was a fun video that I learned a great deal about how this spray paint stuff works and any one can do this!! Ill drop all the amazon affiliate links below so yall can check the items out ,and if you purchase off these links it helps the channel out at no additional cost to you. I make a very small percentage off of qualified purchases.

I was skeptical about using a rattle can 2k clear over rattle can Rustoleum. Then I watch this video and your follow up. I am blown away with the results. I’m totally stoked to do this myself now, whereas prior to your videos, I was debating on just paying someone else. Thank you brother! Amazing what you did in less than ideal conditions with spray paint. I’m a believer now.

I really appreciate that you show the things like sanding in real time. So many videos trim those parts for attention span reasons but its so helpful to see everything in real time and get a feel for how long things take and what time windows we're really working with. If people just cut to post sanding, you don't know if it was 5 minutes or 5 hours.

You are a genius Sir. Unfortunately, I can’t buy the Rust-Oleum Turbo here in Ireland and shipping costs from the USA are way too expensive to consider. This is the second time I’ve seen your post and I’m seriously impressed by your skills. Thank you for your service 🙏

Hey bud you can put that leftover 2K Clear in the freezer & when you're ready to use it again just put it in warm water for a few minutes it'll work like new

I like the fact that you show yourself use a squeegee to dry the water off as you sand to inspect the surface for proper surface prep, Not many painters show this step to see that they have the surface prepped correctly. And in my honest opinion it is a very important step!

If I were to spray Rustoleum 2x clear gloss the way you did with this 2k stuff, it would have have a lot of dripping paint! Thanks for this video!

Question. If I sprayed a lot of clear coat (sucky clear coat) but had to go back and sand it with (ending with 3000) but want to put more clear coat on (different kind) and I used rubbing compound the remove the white stuff left after the 3000 sandpaper, can I just add clear coat now or will the rubbing compound screw it up? And if so, how do I get rid of the rubbing compound without having the white come back before I spray clear coat?

I'm appreciating this so much as I'm going to start doing bodywork on my car and refuse to spend my hard earned money and prep work to some guy who will give a terrible paint job. I'd like to do it myself for the learning experience and so I can only point the finger at myself rather than someone else on top of being out a couple thousand bucks. Thanks again

If you do it again, wet sand, the black before you add the clear and then wet sand, the clear after that

Looking forward to seeing how it finishes up! Yep, I'd like to see how well the adjustable nozzle spray cans work. I'm looking to do an old garden tractor for my first try.

I’m NC too and ran into a lot of the same problems (my first go round w the turbo/2k system) yesterday with dry spray and lots of orange peel from not going heavy enough with the clear. It wet sanded good today w 2000. Good luck man

Aye that looks a lot better. Let it dry for a week, and wet sand. Then cut/buff it will turn out clean. I’m tempted to paint a truck like this with the turbo can and some 2k clear.

Really injoying watching your videos. I'm trying to get my 2003 Dodge back to looking better than the twenty years of Texas heat, cold, and intest sun has done to the paint. The flame red/clear burned on the hood and roof. Thanks again, James in Texas.

I already made 6 can shakers and sold them on marketplace for $25each and got about 11 more ordered. That was a great idea brother👍

Thank you so much for taking the time to post all these videos! This is exactly what I needed to know right now because I'm just about to paint a camper shell and it's my first time painting something auto quality.
