Friday The 13th Reboot is in Development #shorts

Sean S. Cunningham is currently working to get his own Friday the 13th reboot off the ground. Because of a legal battle between the original film’s director, Sean S. Cunningham and writer Victor Miller, the franchise has been at a standstill for the last 14 years. Fans have recently started to see some light at the end of this horrific tunnel, with the announcement that Miller was developing a Crystal Lake prequel series with Hannibal’s Bryan Fuller and A24. While Cunningham is working on a reboot of Friday the 13th, with writer Jeff Locker and director Jeremy Weiss, the trio came up with the concept while working on the upcoming horror film, The Night Driver. Ironically, the next film in the franchise would be the 13th installment. Jeremy weiss states, "We’re currently finalising our casting with some incredible name actors, and have already begun pre-production to shoot in late spring/early summer." #shorts #fridaythe13th #movienews #news #latestnews
