This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new Audi Q4 e-tron luxury, electric compact SUV. Thank you to Audi Downtown Vancouver for lending us the Q4 50 e-tron to review. The Audi Q4 50-etron has 295 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque, it gets 388 km/236 miles of range, has an 82 kWh battery and quattro AWD. In the US, there is also a RWD model, the Audi Q4 40-etron with the same size battery but less power, 201 horsepower and more range, 265 miles.The Audi Q4 comes standard with LED headlights, available Matrix design headlights, LED taillights, heat insulating side and rear windows, high gloss black and chrome exterior accents, aluminum roof rails and 19” wheels, available 20”. The aerodynamic design of the Q4 features a low drag coefficient of 0.28 minimizing resistance. The Audio Q4 provides ample interior space and storage including, dedicated bottle holders on all four doors. There is a mix of hard plastic, piano black and soft materials including, leather seating. The integrated 10.1” touchscreen and 10.25” digital driver display gives it an upscale feel. It also has an available Sonos premium sound system with strategically placed speakers throughout the vehicle. The Audi Q4 e-tron is the first Audi to feature an available augmented reality head up display which provides real-time vehicle information directly in your line of sight. In Canada, the Audi Q4 50 e-tron starts at $59,950 CAD, you can add a variety of packages and a la carte items to get those extra features. In the US, the Audi Q4 40 e-tron RWD starts at $48,800 USD, Premium Plus $55,400 USD. Q4 50 e-tron $53,800 USD, Premium Plus $60,400 USD, Prestige $61,900 USD. The Audi Q4 e-tron comes with a 9.6 kW onboard charger. With a 240-volt outlet, it can fully charge in 9 hours and with a DC Fast charger, it can go from 5 to 80% in about 36 minutes. The Audi Q4 50-etron qualifies for the Federal tax credit of $5,000 in Canada as it is priced under $60,000 CAD and incentives are available in participating provinces. In the US, the 50 e-tron qualifies for a tax credit up to $7500.

We live in in the pacific NW and are a two car family. For about the cost of a Tesla Y we bought these two cars: Nissan Leaf SV plus as our town car and a Subaru Legacy for road trips. Leaf has buttons and a birds-eye view camera for tight city parking spots, Subaru for hitting the slopes.

I think it has just the right amount of boldness and conservative design cues. The interior could use some contrast colors. I think this will have broad appeal. Very well thought out.

Audi girl here coming from gas and I just got the Q4 Sportback e-tron 50 premium plus. Everything you said about this car is true! I thought I was going to hate the steering wheel, but it is very ergonomic and I was wrong about it. I am 5'2"😄 it is very comfortable for a petite driver

For comparing the costs of the ID4 and the Audi Q4 in the U.S., under the new law the ID4 which will be assembled in North America will qualify for the full $7500 tax credit, but the Audi, which is not, will not qualify. That widens the price gap considerably.

I road tested this a few days ago during Audi Canada's road show in Calgary. WOW, did I love the smooth ride and acceleration. And I am one of those doubters who say I will probably never buy an EV. I was impressed by how much this felt like a traditional SUV/car. I just wish they could have used the type of materials that they used in the Q2 (not available in Canada). That crossover used a lot of hard plastic but at least it was uniquely patterned solid plastic instead of the glossy stuff that will scratch up and get dirty easily.

Awesome review on Audi Q4 Andrea! 👍🏻👍🏻 Audi Q4 is a good looking vehicle with a great interior design. Reasonable price for the luxury vehicle! 👍🏻👍🏻 It’s hard to tell difference between a gas model to an EV model in exterior. I think that’s smart.

Great review guys! Suggestion - Do you think in videos going forward you could incorporate a quick comment on whether or not the centre console in each vehicle is adjustable for height and backward/forward. Being the tall drink of water that I am, it's one of the 1st things I look for in the interior of a car. Thanks for considering! Darrell
