I'm just worried about how the service will be like on these cars. Where I am in the US there's only one Volvo dealer in 100 miles. Are they going to have the expertise to work on an EV, let alone one on a completely different platform from the XC40/C40? Will Volvo continue to use shared Geely platforms so in 10 years they'll have the experience to work on them still, or will it be a one-off that's impossible to get serviced and find parts for?

I thought Volvo bought back their factories in China from Geely. If so, the Volvo EX30 is built in a Volvo factory located in China.

I have the feeling the Volvo won't have the same efficiency or range as others on the SEA platform. That it will be heavier due to Volvo using different types of steels in their cars. It looks like a mix of the EX90 and XC40.

No US tax credits for puchasing EX30 if car is assembled in China, but I expect $7500 lease credit. So will this essentially be a lifted Golf-sized vehicle?
