Re #14: I love how you put this - you don’t buy tickets to fly halfway around the world to see how they live there although you’re sure it’s very nice. It’s so balanced between knowing what works for you and being respectful of others.

I did a fair bit of travelling earlier in life but someone put it better than me when he said ‘now I want to spend my time really getting to know « this » mountaintop, not jetsetting to see 50 mountaintops …’.

I know gaining a presence on YouTube is challenging but please continue to make your videos. Lots of people are good at talking about simple living but you give us a lived example - and a joyful one at that!

I’ve been following other minimalists on YouTube for a while now and I’m happy to find that you’re a breath of fresh air. I love your simplicity and no nonsense approach to life. I don't spend money on period necessities. I only use a period cup, that I boil out every month.
Also I use washable cottonpads. To take of makeup and the dirt of the day.
Love that you life carfree. Can you make a video about how you handle reactions from other people. You mentioned that you don't wear party clothes. How do you deal the looks on a wedding or something?

I sold my house in 2007 and my car in 2008. We rent. We don't have a TV since 2003. I don't have a microwave, dishwasher, tumble dryer. I don't have facials, manicures, pedicures - I do them myself. I don't have any gadgets - no Apple watch, Amazon, doorbell ring, cameras, exercise monitors or equipment. I don't ever have insurance of any kind. We only have two sets of bedlinen. etc etc. Honestly, people are bankrupting themselves and stifling the life out of themselves with all this useless and caging stuff.
