Agreed! We need bigger pure e-readers ! I'm not reading at the beach or pool and I take pills to make sure I utilize air traveling time for sleeping. I don't have any problems with people that want to read in 5-15 mins sessions. Book warms needs a bigger e-reader to have a more comfortable reading experience in stationary.

As someone who has a Likebook Mimas and uses it to read on Kobo, Kindle, Play Books, and many other e-book platforms (besides DRM-free e-books in the built-in reader), I approve!

However, it seems that Boox has better app optimisation settings than what Likebook offers, at least on the latter's Android 9+ based models. I'm hoping the former adds support for XDA Navigation Gestures used in place of their own "navigation ball", and/or allow the front button to be reassigned to do different things on single press, double press, triple press, press and hold, double press and hold, etc, maybe even triggering the "navigation ball" menu on a double press or press and hold.

how does the eink screen quality/clarity compare to a kindle oasis or kobo aura h2o? it is as sharp and free of artifacts and such? i prefer the kobo over the oasis due to the slight loss in clarity from the glass screen, but i could deal with the note air if it was as good as the oasis screen and backlight...

Do you know if the Pocket or Instapaper apps work well on it? And a good PDF annotation app that works with Readwise.

Hi, I've got the Boyue Likebook Ares for about one month now and it's totally awesome.
There's just one thing I hope you can help me with.
While it has a huge selection of languages for handwriting recognition, for some reason there seems to only be an English-Chinese dictionary available.
Luckily it says that additional dictionaries can be included. Are there any official ones from Boyue, or should I add a third-party one?
Specifically, I'm looking for an English-German dictionary with phonetics for the English words. A Japanese-English one would also be great.

I use 13 inch e ink device paper size fonts. If resolution good the 10 inch might be OK too. Looks good here. The larger kindle aka DX was popular but hard to find now

Is there an e-reader that I can put my epubs and pdfs on (by usb), cheap as possible, as big screen as possible (less important than price), nothing else required (like speakers, android, wifi, kindle ...). I wouldn't like to spend more than 200 $.

i guess this also means syncing pages across devices ie i can read on my phone and then the kindle app on onyx will sync with that and move me to the most recent page across all devices? also anyone know if this works just as well on onyx nova 3? thanks

Probably they are waiting for coloured e-ink to mature and release a 10" version. Who knows...
