The Greatest Engineers of All-Time

Показать описание
While scientists usually get all the credit for all of humanity’s scientific achievements, it’s actually engineers who build the things that make all that possible – from intricate lab equipment to large-scale city projects. Some of the best engineers ever also happened to be prodigious scientists, even if their names have now been largely lost to history.

better title "`10 great engineers you've probably never heard of"

I'm kind of shocked that Isambard Kingdom Brunel isn't on this list. He was a brilliant engineer who changed the landscape of England.

I’m a female mechanical engineer, and I’ve never clicked on a video of yours faster 😂

I would think thanks to the internet, Heddy Lamar is probably now more known as the inventor or frequency hopping than for her acting career.

Interesting that Babbage is 1, fails to mention the importance of Ada Lovelace and her maths behind the analytical machine which was the first computer programme or algorithm.

Honestly the title is misleading. There were far more important engineers, especially during the industrial revolution in Europe. This list seems to be just a random assortment of people, some I would even question to be true engineers. There also seems to be a heavy bias towards women and non white "engineers" in this one.
Might want to check if the political views of your writer in this one outweighed the goal of making an actually accurate video

I assumed that Nikola Tesla and Alexander Graham Bell would have been in the top couple of engineers.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I beg you, please don't pronounce Bruneleschi as Simon does here. People will laugh at you.

Charles Babbage? No! He was building a glorified counting machine. It was Ada Lovelace who explained to him how it could be tweaked to be fully programmable. Times being what they were, Babbage took her credit.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel NOT Number 1? What are you smoking?

I would call it, "less known engineers"because you didn't mention George Stephenson, (train)Denis Papin and thomas Newcombe(steam engine) Eddison, Graham Bell, and more, including Hedy Lamar, and the first lady, is a lip service, not because women can't be engineers just because men didn't let them....

I’d heard of Hedy Lamar and Babbage, not the others on this list. I think we need a part two (2)!

I know Hedy Lamar only from her technical innovation. I've never seen any of her movies nor can I name any of them.

What no Aliens? Where would have those Mayan's been without the ancient Alien architects?

Have you done a Nikola Tesla Biographics?

As others have said, Isambard Kingdom Brunel should be on any list of history's greatest engineers. As well as John Moses Browning.
