Realistic, easy mud on your model tank, halftrack or jeep. Perfect for 1/35 scale armor and dioramas. Cheap and simple, I guarantee you have these three ingredients at your house already.

I knew there had to be a cheap way to add mud - I’m not spending money on pigments if I don’t have to! Thanks mate

Coffe+water+pva/wood glue and if you want different colour of dirt just add some soft pastels is also nice and cheap

I like this! I generally work in 1/6 scale, and I mud the heck out of my tanks. At $20 a bottle for Vallejo mud, it gets expensive when doing multiple vehicles. This is excellent. Thank you so very much!

Excellent and simple technique. I did some similar with real rust and the effect was very realistic.

Potting soil works well too, if you happen to have a bag handy.

Good instructive clip, I will try that myself on an M113 I'm working on later today. I may try some builders sand to redden the mud a little, aka Vietnam style.

I felt the comment of "sorry about the noise in the background my god, children" in my soul.

Thanks for the tip, will be giving this a go on my wpl b36

I'm gonna make a bucket of this stuff and pour it as a mud river, sounds like a good idea?

How do you glue on the wheels after applying the dirt? Do you have to do a lot of cleanup to get glue to adhere?
