A new study on Indian genetics says some sort of migration did indeed take place into India and that the Indus Valley civilisation is key to all South Asian populations.

You have forget to say that the dna obtained from rakhigarhi nearly matches to the dna of irullar caste in Tamil Nadu.

You missed a major group, the mongoloid or turanian people who settled in north east and mixed with aryans to form the Bengali and Assamese people, or is it that you believe they are non Indians?

I read quite a bit of the scientific work on DNA out there and let me do a brave attempt to simplify and summarize. There were always migrations and even all ethnic groups that make up Indians came from somewhere (starting with Africa). From what I understood from these DNA studies of countries where IE languages have spread the following DNA clusters were the main building blocks for the populations:
1.North and South Indians (in varying proportions)= Ancient Ancestral South Indians (South Asian hunter gatherers)+ Iranian Farmers+ Yamnaya steppe pastoralists+ miscellaneous (later invasions and migrations)
2. Modern Iranians= Iranian Farmers+Anatolian farmers+ Yamnaya steppe pastoralists+miscellaneous (later invasions and migrations)
3. Modern Europeans= European hunter gatherers+ Anatolian farmers+ Yamnaya steppe pastoralists+ miscellaneous (later invasions and migrations)
You can see the common thread here for all three categories are Yamnaya steppe pastoralists. So may not be not too difficult to make an inference on who were the original speakers of proto-Indo-European language.

Indians react wild on this subject. Almost all countries have migrations and invasions in the past. But no one cares like we do. Most  of  the western countries have no original roots. And they don't mind who their ancestors are. They know that was in the past and  not going to help anyway now. They are practical people.  Why cant we do that. We don't want to come out of this same old dispute and fighting over the very  issue . It is not going to help anyone, in fact it creates more conflict. We all love our country. It doesn't mean we fight over the issues on dispute. If you think we were the victims because of this  migration/ invasion we should try to rectify it. At least work towards it. Conveniently , we blame  politicians or Westerners . They left us ages ago. Irony is, given a chance  majority of us would love to migrate to western countries now . Why is this hypocrisy?  We are so energetic to fight over the " ANCESTERS HISTORY" but cant stand up and talk firmly with a politician. Cant blast a corrupted officer. Cant follow basic rules which save many people from RTA. Being a good citizen is far more important than anything.

Dig deeper into "keezhadi" & most probably all the history & research may have to be rewritten...

Amazing that linguists proposed this centuries ago, through nothing but a comparative analysis of language. And now modern genetics confirm it.

New evidences found which completely dismantles this theory ( or some part of it ). The ancient swords and chariots found in archeological sites of sinauli dates back to 2000 - 1800 BCE which is of the same time of Indus Valley civilization. Also the way the people were buried there shares much similarity to the vedic culture, unlike the Indus Valley civilization thus confirming that there was a parallel civilization in sinauli which was predominantly vedic. This makes the assumption that Indus Valley civilization is the only ancestor is not correct

"The Scholars did not have DNA samples from the Indus Valley Civilization, but they did take samples from individuals who SEEMED like they were PROBABLY from there". And we Indians are supposed to take this assumption as scientific evidence of our own origins? The Aryan Invasion theory itself is long debunked. When are we Indians going to have our own World class institutions that studies ancient history, archaeology, ethnology, anthropology in a scientific manner? This would've been the most logical thing in an ancient civilisation such as ours.

The reason why the inhabitants of indus valley civillization came to further south was because the resources of that area were almost finished

The unfortunate part about selecting names like Ancestral North Indian (ANI) and Ancestral South Indian (ASI) to divide the population of India into two groups is that it hides the fact that all Indians are a mix of both ANI and ASI. In actual fact there is no such genetic demarcating line between north Indian IE (Indo European) speakers and south Indian “Dravidian” language speakers.
When we look at the original scientific publication in which ASI and ANI were defined (David Reich et al., “Reconstructing Indian Population History”, Nature, 2009) we find that the population selection to represent 1 billion plus Indians is very narrow and biased. Out of 132 samples more than 80% were from Tribes and the rest from Brahmins or other forward castes.

Such a biased video and the constant use of "Original People" "Indigenous People" "Real People" ignoring the fact that life evolved in East Africa and almost every one is a migrant some earlier some later. #Propoganda against a group of Indians from a typical person claiming victim hood. The biggest difference in appearance is because of climate for thousands of years people were agriculturists working in hot sun from morning to evening. So the exposure to sun played a dominant role generation after generation. The more closer to equator you are more is the tanning. So if the difference in appearance between people from every layer of India. A typical South Indian is more tanned than a typical Central Indian and a Central Indian is more tanned than a Kashmiri or Himachali.

Most of the south Indians are non vegetarians so they are very peaceful, tolerant and inclusive people, if you have any doubts come and spend in south, feel the difference .
