And of course Cecilia's son Philip Chiang founded the highly successful American-Chinese chain *_P.F. Chang's_* with Paul Fleming.
Cecilia Chiang always seemed like a very pleasant, humble lady. RIP

My school was a block up the hill from Chinatown. I used to walk down there after school, poke around in shops, buy fried pork buns and almond cookies. I miss it so!

I've eaten at the Mandarin twice. Once in 1973 and again in 1980. Fantastic both times! Great memories and I'm hungry now!

I'm a U.S. citizen currently residing in China. Students and friends have asked me if I liked Chinese food. I explained to them that I first ate in a Chinese restaurant when I was 12; it was in San Francisco. For many years, I've enjoyed countless Chinese restaurants in the States.
I never tasted Chinese food until I came to China!

The way she screamed at that cook to dry the meat or it would burn; shows that she was a tough lady! She expected the best in her food and people! Respect given!
It kept her young and vibrant! RIP Chef Cecilia 🙏🍜🙏😇
