Sam’s club & Costco food court lines are always crazy now, it’s like they’re the soup kitchens of the new depression.

Groceries are a luxury too. It's sad when your grocery list now is your wish list.

I go to the store buy a pound of meat for around 5$. I now eat the biggest burgers and thickest tacos. I can't go back to being fed like I'm a bird.

From South Africa and was in NY last week. Holy crap - the cost of fast food really was damn expensive.

In 1960s when I was young, MCD's and BK were luxury nights out for kids. 55 years later here we are again.

Took my son to Denneys for a birthday breakfast. He had the American Slam. Two eggs, two sausage links, 2 strips of bacon, hash browns, orange juice, cup of coffee, $15 for breakfast for one. It's crazy.

It's much less expensive & more healthy to cook at home. In northern Canada we don't have the options of many restaurants. If you can't cook then you don't eat.

It wasn't that long ago that a family of 4 to eat at McDonald's for under $30.00. Now that same meal for 4 costs about $60.00. And you still have to wait forever, the food order is sometimes wrong, usually luke warm and the small fries put in a medium fry box. It's insane.

The only “problem” with minimum wage is for the huge corporations. Their CEOs are doing just fine with their gazillion dollar salaries. But the average workers’ wages don’t even come close to keeping up with inflation. It’s the corporations that should rein in their greed and instead of raising prices on consumers, how about cutting back the fat in the corporate executive room?? How about stop chasing a higher and higher share price?? That is the answer. Not keeping wages low. 😡

As someone who is a bread vendor to national grocery and restaurant chains, its been crazy the rise in prices I've seen in the last 3 years. Its had an a major impact on independent small businesses especially. So many have closed down after being in business very many, many years.

We need someone that is going to be able to navigate this economy and bring things back in alignment with what most Americans can afford for just basic needs. Housing, food, education, and healthcare.

I noticed drive through lines getting shorter except at in and out.

McDonald's gross profit for the twelve months ending March 31, 2024 was $14.688B, a 9.03% increase year-over-year. McDonald's annual gross profit for 2023 was $14.563B, a 10.26% increase from 2022. Corporate greed can explain much of the inflation. Also, I thought you all for raising healthy kids, we need healthier choices. Come on guys do better!!

Fast food is not luxury. Everything is expensive. You no longer can buy something for a dollar at dollar tree but it’s the same stuff. I live in an over priced apartment that went up $500 in rent since I’ve been here and it’s not luxury. I live in attic. Just cause you pay more doesn’t mean it’s a luxury. Our dollar just isn’t as strong.

Just this past week I stopped at a McDonalds for a breakfast... had ONE sausage, egg, and cheese mcmuffin for over (I remember when these were under $3 and it wasn't that long ago either!!) I was gobsmacked! Crazy!! I'm DONE with them... period. Even the drinks that were once $1 are more than a dollar!! "Thank you, Joe, for all of your wonderful economic policies that have made life SO MUCH EASIER for ALL of us, " said no one EVER!!!
